Testimonial

I have been attending the Best Health Centre with Sahaja for over two years.
From the first kinesiology session it has been a truly life changing experience, with every visit I have discovered new and deeper aspects of myself.

Sahaja is very intuitive and respectful and I believe gifted in healing both physical and emotional, providing 'best health' for those who require the special
service she offers.

Hello

We have been having some challenges with our newsletter - our last mail out on the 3rd of April was, in cyberspace terminology, 'bounced' by many of your mail servers.  After much hassle, we discovered that the server who was sending it out for us was being blocked - so all change.. we have shifted to another more reliable server so we can continue to keep in touch with you.

Anyway if you were one of the blocked ones and would like to read what you missed last week, please go here.

Best wishes to you all
Sahaja & Shazar

"Healing means to live a full human potential"
John Demartini

This quote jumped out from the page.  Healing so often seems to be taken to mean 'curing disease.' It is easy to focus on the states of disease - in fact, a client came in this morning and asked: "When people ask me why I can't have wheat, what is best to tell them?  Should I say I have irritable bowel syndrome, or colitis or what should I say."  We answered: don't put it in a box, once you label something it is very difficult to get it to go away! Please just say - "I am sensitive to it - it does not agree with me." End of story.

Once we set ourselves to have this disease or that disease, we own that problem and what do you do with problems?  You look for the solution - the answer - the cure, you start to fight the condition.  And as you fight it so up comes the resistance.

Think about these simple facts - before WW2, 1 in 8000 people got cancer in the USA. Now it is 1 in 3. All in all about 3 trillion dollars have been spent in the war against cancer.  And not one real cure has been found. It doesn't look like we are winning!

And if we found the cure what would happen to this multi billion dollar industry that has been built around this war?  Doesn't it make you wonder if they really want to find a cure?

So the message is - walk away from the fight against disease - in fact the fight against anything - as soon as you put up a fight, you put up the resistance and the other side becomes strong to resist the fight.

True healing is about moving towards balance, moving into a state of health - into a state of coherence where all your cells are communicating happily to one another, and what is the best way to do this?

Eat whole live foods, laugh often, walk briskly, breathe clean air, drink plenty of clean water, eat less than you think you need, hug each other, stroke your cat or pat your dog, don't eat numbers, make your bedroom dark to promote deep sleep, get some sunlight every day without sunscreen or dark glasses - early morning sun is excellent and - above all enjoy.

The best advice we ever had was if you are not enjoying it, change it! Choose to enjoy, choose to live, choose life.  We are so fortunate to have the right to choose. Please continue to exercise that right!

Exercising your right:

An interesting documentary "We Become Silent" narrated by Dame Judi Dench about the threat to medical freedom of choice and the limiting of the public’s access to herbs, vitamins and other therapies can be viewed on this site.

Yummy Recipes:

The return to cooler weather inspires us to get out the soup pot!  If you have any sort of blender, you can whizz up a great vege soup in a very short time.

Here's some ideas -

1 tbsp of coconut oil - melt in a big pot, and then chop a large onion finely and fry till translucent - be careful not to let it burn. Add chopped or crushed garlic - 2 - 5 cloves depending on how much you like it. One tsp of ground cumin is great at this stage.  Stir it into the onion mix. Then cube pumpkin (we like Jap pumpkin, but use your favourite) you can use a whole pumpkin or half a pumpkin and then add some sweet potato if you like. Stir that around in the pot for a few minutes, then add about a litre of water - half a tsp of sea salt (not Saxa) cover it and put it on a low heat until the pumpkin is soft. Add a large can of coconut milk or cream, or if you prefer you can use light sour cream. Add more water if it is too thick. Blend it all together, grind in some black pepper and add a good dash of tamari (low salt preferably - good soy sauce) to bring out the flavour. Taste and add more seasoning if you prefer.  Reheat after blending and serve adding a garnish of either chopped parsley, or coriander if you prefer.  For extra richness you could sprinkle liberally with finely grated parmesan cheese.

This recipe goes with pumpkin - but if you get creative, you can mix and match your vegies - cauliflower is good done in a very similar way, but instead of cumin you can use mustard seeds.
